How We Can Help

Being compassionate is our objective

Here at Nurture Rynmed we provide hope through compassion, humanity, and expertise during your rehabilitation journey.

We exist to help people who have suffered a debilitating accident or significant illness return to their optimal functioning.

Our objective is to maximise recovery and patient health gain while achieving the highest level of independence for each of our patients, as cost effectively as possible.

We get to work as soon as we can, as early intervention has been proven to show improved function, better patient outcomes and reintegration back into society, community, and home environment.

  • A team of therapists including physiotherapists; occupational therapists; speech, language and swallowing therapists; and social workers; who are responsible for the practical activities of your rehabilitation, helping you to regain your ability to perform daily activities.
  • Therapy Managers who will assist in planning and implementing your discharge arrangements, and act as emotional support for your family.
  • Case Managers who liaise and negotiate with your medical aid scheme before and during your stay with us.
In addition to this, we also have part-time psychologists and dieticians.

Our Services

We are committed to your well-being

Rynmed Hospital provides physical rehabilitation and sub-acute in-patient and out-patient care for people challenged with a wide range of disabilities caused by disease or injuries.

Patients undergo a combination of specially designed therapy sessions to suit their specific needs.

Depending on medical condition, this will include home and life management skills training.

The patient’s family is as important as the patient. Throughout your hospital stay, we conduct progress meetings with family members to educate them in proper care practice to ensure a consistently high standard of care, even after discharge.

Our Facilities

We use the latest in rehabilitation facilities

Nurture Rynmed Hospital has been designed to promote rehabilitation efficiency, enabling our staff to create a safe, supervised, and structured environment for our patients.

We offer: A well-equipped gym with custom-designed specialised equipment, private cognitive area, private treatment area, occupational therapy kitchen and bathroom, and patient dining room.

Equipment and assistive device needs can be catered for, and we provide comprehensive out-patient care after a patient is discharged.

We know how important your family and friends are to your health and emotional wellbeing. They form an intrinsic part of your recovery and, where possible, we encourage socialising at the hospital.

A referral to out-patient services may occur because of a referral from your doctor, a concern of your own for yourself or a loved one, or as part of planned discharge procedures. These services ensure that patients continue to receive the therapeutic and medical treatment that they need to remain as safe and independent as possible at home.

We focus on what patients will need to be able to accomplish in their daily lives. Our team works with patients to formulate the therapy strategy that is best suited to their specific needs and circumstances.

Our out-patient services are not limited to people previously treated in our hospital but are available for anyone who would benefit from physical rehabilitation outpatient therapy.
