Doctor At Nurture Alberton – Gauteng

Our Nurture Alberton facility in Gauteng is looking for a Doctor to join their team. This role is an exciting position comprising the opportunity to treat inpatient rehabilitation patients and build relationships with the referring specialists in the area. This successful applicant will form part of the facility leadership team.

Minimum Education / Experience

  • An MBChB. and full HPCSA registration.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Experience of In- and Out-patient care. High Care, ICU, Anaesthetic, Casualty exposure, will be advantageous
  • Your own transport.
  • Professional indemnity cover.
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation hospital would be advantageous
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.

Competency Expectations

  • Have strong communication skills and an ability to deal with a diverse range of patients and fellow team members. Patient and Family centered.
  • An interest in working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Prepared to assume responsibility for the patients allocated to you, deal with some level of uncertainty, but know when to consult and liaise with other team members, with referring doctors and with consultants.
  • Have a strong clinical knowledge and skill base, and a hunger to learn more.
  • Be literate in MS Windows and MS Office.
  • Performing patient rehabilitation evaluations. Rehabilitation evaluations, conducted on a physician’s referral, are based on a multidisciplinary assessment, which forms the basis for a medical and professional rehabilitation plan.
  • Assist with marketing of the facility through building strong relationships with the referring doctors in our network.
