Comfortable clothing and shoes is required for therapy sessions and activities, and pyjamas are required for bed. You should also bring a swimming costume for hydrotherapy.
You are responsible for providing clean clothes. There is a laundry service at the shopping centre across the road and arrangements can be made for you clothes to be washed there should you not have access to other washing facilities.
All medicines are to be handed to the Sister-in-Charge, who will store it in a secure cupboard in the patient’s room.
Cellphones are allowed but it is requested that these be switched off during therapy sessions.
We cannot take responsibility for any valuables belonging to yourself or your visitors. It is recommended that you do not bring anything of substantial value or money to the hospital.
Firearms are not permitted on the premises.
You are welcome to bring personal items such as pictures, soft toys, posters or personal bedding with you in order to make your stay with us more comfortable.
Meal Times and Snacks
All meals will be served at Hillandale and have been specifically designed to ensure that they are well balanced. It is requested that you do not supplement your diet without speaking to your doctor or Sister-in Charge first.
- Special arrangements for visiting during the morning can be made. It is requested that this be arranged with the team beforehand as therapy and nursing care take priority during this time.
