19:00 – 20:00: Family and friends
Government regulations stipulate that patients are only allowed three visitors at a time. People with colds, sore throats or contagious diseases should not visit patients.
Your right to privacy is of primary importance to us. All information disclosed to staff members remains highly confidential. Information regarding a specific patient may only be disclosed with the formal consent of the patient or in certain situations, the patient’s family.
All charges by the hospital, doctors and therapists are at the BHF (Medical Schemes) Scale of Benefits. If a patient is a member of a medical scheme and the medical scheme covers the services fully, all costs will be paid. However, many schemes demand co-payments for, have limits on, or do not provide cover for certain services or items.
Your Case Manager will assist you to determine which services are covered, but it remains your responsibility to negotiate with the medical scheme about benefits.
Except in exceptional cases, hospital charges do not include charges for therapist and doctors’ services. These are billed for separately.
We submit accounts directly to medical schemes, but you remain responsible for payment should the medical scheme not pay an account, for whatever reason. Should a medical scheme or other form or insurance not cover a patient, we can, under certain circumstances, make arrangements for credit facilities.
